On chapter 4 Travis woke up ate breakfast, when he was eating he saw two bulls come and start
fighting.  Travis was a bit excited but he also knew this could be dangerous.  Travis went outside with the famly sat on the fence they had and watched the fight but he was so excited he didn't notice that a bull was about to hit the fence.  The bull hit the fence and Travis hit the ground so Travis had to run back to the cabin and got the whip trying to scare the bulls away and gain control to protect his family.  Travis and Old Yeller went squirrel hunting with Arliss where they killed 5 squirrles  for dinner with no help from Arliss because he  is slow an very loud.

Old Yeller home work

Old Yeller Exercise 1
Hello class!  I would like for each of you to reflect on the following questions.  Please answer in paragraph form on your blog site.  If it helps, copy and paste into your blog and answer from there.
In chapters 1-3, Travis is put in charge of many of the farm jobs and the family security.........
1.  If your mother or father left you in charge of the work around the house, would you be able to handle these responsibilities?
2.  Travis' father says he expects Travis to act like a man.  Do most fourteen year olds act grown up?  Explain your answer.
3.  The father makes a bargain or agreement with his son.  What was that agreement and do you think it is fair for the him to do that with Travis?  Explain your feelings.
4.  Do your parents make bargains or agreements with you?  What kind?  How do the agreements work out?
If my mom left me in charge of work in the house I would maybe be able to do some of the tasks. My mom and dad do a lot of things I can't do yet. I don't think most forteen year olds should have to act like a adult. Kids now should only have to worry about school and their education. The bargain between Travis and his father was the dad would get him a horse. I think it could be seen in two different ways as a reward or a bribe in those times a horse was needed to do daily chores but now its more of a luxery to have a horse.  My mom and dad expect me to do my chores such as clean my room, take out the trash and get good grades for my allowance and any extra activities I want to do.
